Chiropractic instrument adjusting
Due to advancement in technology, in some surgeries, lasers have replaced scalpels. Advanced technology has also become available to chiropractors to assist in delivering chiropractic adjustments.
Here at LRCC, as well as thousands of Doctors of Chiropractic around the world, we use the Impulse Adjusting Instrument. Years of research have gone into the development of the Impulse. A patented and FDA registered device, this was specifically created to deliver gentle and precise chiropractic adjustments to the joints of the spine and extremities to relieve pain and restore function.
The device is controlled by micro-computer circuitry housed within, producing a controlled force that Chiropractors can use to treat different areas. Impulse is also specifically tuned to the natural frequency of the body that joints, muscles and nerves respond to, optimizing results for patients.
It gives a light tapping sensation on the area been treated. In most cases, the treatment is painless and after the adjustment, many patients feel relief of pain and improved mobility. Of course, results may vary from case to case and chronic conditions, inflammation or muscle spasms may delay these positive effects.
The gentle thrust is faster than the body’s tendency to tighten up and resist the adjustment, and the three different force settings make it safe and effective for patients of all ages… from babies to the elderly!
The word Chiropractic is derived from the Greek word “Chiroprakikos” meaning “done by hand”. As we are versatile to our patients’ needs and requirements, we also use other forms of adjustments, some of those that have been practised for many many years with great success ( hands only) as well as other techniques, all with research value behind them. On our examinations and treatments, we will be able to determine what best suits your body type for gentle and effective care.
