Supporting the body’s immune system through the winter months is therefore beneficial, not only to stay and feel well, but to move that ink out! It is no surprise that the healthier our gastrointestinal tract is, the healthier we are.
Here is a list of immune boosting ingredients you can incorporate into your diet this winter to help maintain or gain health and move ink.
Here is a tea when you need a little more than the plain herbal variety…
1½ cups water
1 cinnamon stick
1 tbsp rooibos tea (optional)
3 cardamom pods
3 whole cloves
2 black peppercorns (optional)
5 slices of root ginger
Stevia/Rapidura sugar (sugar without the nutrients removed) to your liking.
1 tsp coconut oil (can be skipped but a great way of getting a good oil into you)
- Steep cinnamon in boiling water for 2 minutes
- Return pan to heat and bring to boil
- Add tea, spices and coconut oil if you like, remove from heat
- Allow to steep for 3 minutes
- Add sweetener (not artificial)
